Wuling Motors celebrates its 7th anniversary in Indonesia, coinciding with the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024. Since debuting in 2017 with the inauguration of its factory in Cikarang, Bekasi, Wuling has produced over 146,000 units for both domestic and export markets. Since the launch of the Air EV, which became the best-selling model in Indonesia, Wuling's electric vehicle (EV) sales have reached tens of thousands of units since 2022.

Arif Pramadana, Vice President of Wuling Motors, revealed that despite fierce competition in the EV segment, Wuling has managed to maintain its position with cumulative sales of over 20,000 units in Indonesia. As of June 2024, Wuling EV holds a 52 percent market share of Indonesia's electric vehicle segment, making Wuling a leader in this category.

All of Wuling’s EV models, including the Air EV, Binguo EV, and Cloud EV, are produced at the Cikarang plant in West Java. The Air EV has a Domestic Content Level (TKDN) of 40.04 percent, while the Binguo EV boasts the highest local content with a TKDN of 47.5 percent, and the Cloud EV has 40 percent local content. The Air EV is known as one of the most affordable electric cars, with prices starting at Rp 209 million, which after tax incentives drop to Rp 190 million.

In addition to focusing on the domestic market, Wuling is also expanding its export operations, with nearly 5,500 units shipped to 14 countries, a third of which are electric vehicles. This makes Wuling the only Indonesian automotive manufacturer exporting fully built electric vehicles overseas. Arif Pramadana expressed gratitude to Wuling's nearly 140,000 customers in Indonesia, who have helped the brand become one of the country's leading automotive names.
