Immigration Document Requirements

Passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the arrival date. Tourist visas are valid for a maximum of 60 days and can be extended up to 4 times, each extension lasting 30 days. Multiple Entry Tourist Visas are valid for 5 years without extensions, except for former Indonesian citizens. Visa on Arrival is valid for a maximum of 30 days, extendable once for 30 days. Citizens of visa-free countries are allowed a maximum stay of 30 days without extensions.

Visit Stay Permits are also valid for a maximum of 60 days and can be extended. Limited Stay Permits (ITAS) are valid for 30 days for Visa on Arrival with no extension, 90 days for short-term employment with a maximum extension of 30 days. ITAS is also valid for 2 years and can be extended up to 6 years.

Permanent Stay Permits are granted to holders of ITAS, former religious leaders, investors, employees, and the elderly. Mixed-marriage families and children who are not dual citizens can obtain permanent stay permits after 2 years of marriage or birth in Indonesia to ITAP holders.

Second Home Visas / Second ITAS can be applied for by foreign nationals or sponsors with a passport valid for at least 36 months, proof of ownership of at least IDR 2 million in a state-owned bank, and a photo. The second stay permit is granted to foreign nationals to reside in Indonesia for 5 or 10 years.
