Fire is a threat to residential areas, buildings, and certain zones, which is increasing along with rapid development. To reduce this risk, preventive measures are necessary, such as providing fire extinguishers, clear evacuation routes, and passive fire protection using fire-resistant materials.

Yuwono Imanto, Director of Propan Raya, mentioned that fire-resistant paint can strengthen surfaces against fire, seal off burned areas, and inhibit the movement of smoke. Propan Raya, in collaboration with TREMCO, has introduced a fire protection coating system for steel, as presented at the Building Protection Seminar during the 2024 Indonesia Construction Expo.

Dian Irawati, Director of Residential and Housing Development, emphasized the importance of sustainable professional development for fire safety experts to improve competence and productivity. The government is committed to consistently implementing a fire protection system throughout Indonesia, with collaboration between the central government, regional authorities, the community, and relevant associations.
