The Covid-19 pandemic is considered to accelerate digital transformation in almost all strategic sectors, including industry and trade. Stakeholders in the Asia Pacific region also think that the digital economy can overcome the various challenges and disruptions caused by Covid-19. The Indonesian Institute of Technology Auditors (IATI) noted that many industrial and trade sectors are now implementing the concept of a contactless system or online-based. "Everything relies on digital transformation and advances in information and communication technology," said IATI Chairman Hammam Riza at the IATI National Working Meeting.

This was stated by 59% of respondents from 340 companies with various sizes and sectors. Digital payments and electronic commerce (e-commerce) are following as the most impactful technologies in global commerce. The two technologies were chosen by 56% and 53% of respondents.

Various transformative technologies have a positive impact on the trade sector. Because it can reduce expenses along with increasing speed. In addition, transformative technology can also increase trading volume.

The pandemic situation has changed almost all social systems of society, including the economy. Inter-human interaction becomes contactless. It is also important to ensure that equipment and products resulting from technological processes must pass a life-cycle analysis. It is necessary to analyze that all raw materials, processes, final products to the waste disposal process do not pollute the environment or cause social problems. For that, a technology audit is needed. The role of technology audit can be started from the beginning of the entire business process to the end. That way, it can be seen how much efficiency is achieved through the application of technology. In a virtual discussion with the theme 'Accelerate Digital Economy for Inclusive Integration in Asia Pacific – Connecting Digital Industries in Pandemic' held by Huawei, Indonesian Ambassador to China Djauhari Oratmangun said, the corona pandemic accelerated the dynamics of change in the business sector. The development of the digital economy, which is based on online-based understanding and infrastructure, is considered to be the engine driving the growth of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the region. In addition, increasing regional resilience in the midst of a pandemic.
